LingXi Chinese Theatre (LCT), founded in Fall 2015, is the first and only Chinese theatre group at the University of Virginia. We aim to produce professional Chinese theatre, promote cultural diversity, nurture and serve as a resource for student talents, and disclose the inner working of theatre art to all who are interested.

In 2018 Spring, LingXi Chinese Theatre proudly presents our new play, Me² vs He²! Written by a Taiwanese playwright Shengchuan Lai, the romance play presents the tragic love story of two young couples who met and fell in love during a turbulent time in Hong Kong. The plot is set around Rujing Jian, a Taiwanese businesswoman, involved in a business negotiation with Mo Shen, the CEO of a Mainland enterprise. En route to Hong Kong, both of them meet the spirit of their old selves, who disappeared nine years ago. Constantly haunted by the spirits, they realize the spirits are only visible to themselves. With the unfolding of the story, while Jian and Shen are scheming against each other on the negotiation table, a feeling of déjà vu unexpectedly hits both of them.
