Tickets will go on sale at 12:01 a.m. Friday for the latest films and events announced Tuesday by the Virginia Film Festival.

Actor Anthony Michael Hall will appear at a screening of his film The Lears.
Trudie Styler will present Freak Show, her directorial debut, and producer Celine Rattray will join her for a post-screening discussion.

Actor Noel Fisher will take part in a panel discussion about The Long Road Home, a new National Geographic Channel series on the Iraq War.

Actor Nick Robinson will join previously announced guest William H. Macy for a screening of Krystal, Macy’s new film.

The closing-night film will be Call Me by Your Name, a coming-of-age love story by Luca Guadagnino.

Also added to the 30th-anniversary festival’s schedule are ’63 Boycott, Beetlejuice with cinematographer Tom Ackerman, The Last Stop, Mood and Memory, My Art with director and star Laurie Simmons, Roll with Me, Sammy Davis Jr.: I’ve Gotta Be Me and a free master class and workshop on The Science of Pixar.

More than 50 short films will be shown before feature screenings and in a variety of other settings, based on themes and genres.

Also scheduled is University of Virginia cinematography professor Kevin Everson’s Tonsler Park, which follows African-American voting officials on Nov. 8, 2016.

Voices Beyond the Wall: Twelve Love Poems from the Murder Capital of the World and Wild Honey also are included.

Starting at 12:01 a.m. Friday, tickets will be available online at virginiafilmfestival.org, in person from noon to 5 p.m. weekdays at UVa’s arts box office in the lobby of the Drama Building and by phone at (434) 924-3376.
