The annual Madison Lane and Rugby Road Charitable Trust Visual Arts Prize is intended to expand students’ opportunities for creative expression and to showcase significant accomplishments in the Arts. The prize will award one outstanding undergraduate or graduate artist $2,500.

Each student applicant can submit up to three images of one piece of finished creative work or a URL to a film/video less than 4 minutes in length and a brief description of their work. Eligible media include: drawing, painting, water color, film/ video, photography & sculpture. Only one submission per student will be considered. All work must have been created while in residence at UVA in 2016 or 2017. UVA Arts will create an online gallery to exhibit all pieces submitted. Submissions are due by March 1, 2017.
