The Virginia Film Festival is now accepting applications for the 13th Adrenaline Film Project. AFP is a 72-hour, highly-caffeinated filmmaking competition where three-person teams of filmmakers work together to write, cast, shoot, and edit a film in only three days!

AFP provides a unique experience for aspiring filmmakers, where teams are mentored by professional filmmakers to create short films that include a specific line of dialogue and prop within assigned genres. This year’s mentors are Jeff Wadlow (founder of Adrenaline and writer/director of Kick-Ass 2), Leigh-Kilton Smith (acting coach for Divergent, Along Came Polly, Friends, and Dexter), and Kevin Hart (animator of Hotel Transylvania 2 and Smurfs: The Lost Village).

The competition culminates in a public screening during the 29th Annual Virginia Film Festival.

Previous winners have found success in their acceptances to film schools, submissions to Sundance, involvement in the creation of popular movies and television shows, and in the starting of their own production companies.
