Filming is taking place in Richmond for “Permanent,” a new feature film starring Patricia Arquette and Rainn Wilson.
According to Arvold Casting, the filming started Monday and will continue through Aug. 19.
The director of the movie is Colette Burson, a University of Virginia graduate who is co-creator and executive producer of the HBO series “Hung.” She has written for Showtime, FX, NBC and Canal+.
Burson based “Permanent” on an event that happened while she attended Stanley Middle School in Abingdon.
Wilson, who starred as Dwight on “The Office,” has been spotted around Richmond, according to social media.
According to the film’s audition page, the movie “centers around a small town where all the women want to be like Farrah Fawcett while 13-year-old Aurelie deals with a bad hair day in a coming-of-age comedy.”
En Su Boca, a restaurant in Richmond, posted a picture of the mustachioed star wearing a trucker hat on its Facebook page.
